  • What ages does Academy House accept?

    Academy House serves children from newborn through age 13, depending on the center. Infant, toddler, preschool, PreK, and school-age programs are available. 

  • Does Academy House offer FREE Preschool (Abbott/BOE) programs?

    Yes. Academy House centers located at 895 Bergen Ave and 404 Tonnele Ave in Jersey City are contracted with the Jersey City Board of Education Early Childhood Department, providing Free Preschool (PreK3 & PreK4) for eligible families. 

  • What curriculum does Academy House use?

    Academy House uses the HighScope curriculum, a hands-on, active learning framework that supports social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. 

  • How do parents receive updates about their child’s day?

    Academy House uses the Brightwheel app, allowing parents to receive photos, messages, daily reports, and updates in real time. 

  • Do the centers offer live camera access?

    Yes. Families can access live camera feeds to stay connected with their child throughout the day. 

  • Are meals provided?

    Yes. All meals are prepared on-site, following nutritional standards and accommodating dietary restrictions. 

  • What safety measures are in place?

    Centers feature secure intercom entry systems, supervised environments, and staff trained in CPR, First Aid, and AED procedures. 

  • Does Academy House accept childcare subsidies?

    Yes. Several Academy House centers participate in subsidized childcare programs, depending on location and age group.

    Yes. Staff receive training in CPR, First Aid, AED, child safety, abuse reporting, and early childhood education standards.
